Brownie Ingredients:

  • 1-14 oz can chickpeas (398 mL)
  • 1 cup oat flour (I use gluten-free)
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 15 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 2/3 cups maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups dairy-free chocolate chips (I use Prana)

Brownie Directions:

Begin by putting the chickpeas into a strainer and rinsing them very well. Then, transfer them to the bowl of your food processor.

Add all of the remaining ingredients, with the exception of the chocolate chips, to your food processor and process until smooth.

Divide the chocolate chips into two 1 cup portions. Add the first cup to your food processor and pulse to combine. Set the second cup aside.

Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with coconut oil. Pour the batter into the dish and spread it out evenly using the back of a spoon. Sprinkle your second cup of chocolate chips on top of the brownies.

Bake in preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 35-40 minutes or until the top begins to crack and a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out almost clean.

Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Store leftovers in the fridge.

Enjoy!
