Chocolate is the star of this dessert! These squares are rich and creamy and will please any chocolate lover.
Serve these as a snack or dessert — they are quick to make and are sure to have you and your guests wanting more.

Square Ingredients:
- 2 cups cashews
- 1 cup almond meal
- 1/2 cup oat flour (I use gluten-free)
- 3 bananas
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Icing Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cashew butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Square Directions:
Put all ingredients into your food processor and process until very smooth.
Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with coconut oil. Pour batter into the dish and spread it out evenly. Bake in preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top begins to crack and a toothpick poked into the center of the batter comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let cook for 10-15 minutes before icing.
Icing Directions:
Put all ingredients into a small mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. Set aside until squares are ready to ice.
Note: If you’re a peanut butter lover like me, try swapping out half of the cashew butter in the icing for peanut butter (1/4 cup cashew butter + 1/4 cup peanut butter) and top with crushed peanuts.
Assembly:
Once squares are done baking and have cooled for 10-15 minutes on the counter, pour the icing over the squares and spread it out evenly.
If you like a little crunch, top the squares off with some cashew pieces.
Place in the fridge and let cool for 2-4 hours before serving.
Store leftovers in the fridge.
Enjoy!
